Hi, we use your "BitsyX".
Our application gets video stream in format YUV, converts it in RGB and shows with "BitBlt" function the picture is 16 bpp.
Convertation takes a lot of time, so we'd like to use
DirectX ( DirectShow ). But there is not graphic accelerator
on "BitsyX", and these functions will be held by the main
processor, so we won't get better performance.
What of your products, may be "AGX" or "Display Master"
has hardware to hold DirectX functions and help to the main
processor ?
And what of your products has most fast display output ?
Thanks. |

Hi. Thanks for your question. I can understand that the conversion of YUV to RGB could affect the graphics performance of your system, as it's a calculation-intensive operation.
I took a look at the Intel Graphics Performance Primitives (topic 981), but it doesn't look like they include any optimized code for YUV-to-RGB conversion.
We do have a product that will be released for production within the next few months that includes an engine that converts direct from YUV to RGB. Please send us details about your application. We may be able to work with you to enable that functionality in the CE drivers we develop.
Best regards,
Drew
p.s. While on the surface this might look like a Windows CE question (DirectX), the graphics acceleration applies to other operating systems. For this reason I've left this post in the Hardware->Displays forum. |
