My a2d reads 0xffff which I take from the manual to mean that there is timeout. What exactly is on timeout? Does it mean the bus is waiting to hear from the ADSmartIO chip and the chip is not responding? Is it related to the siosetssptimeout? What is the significance of the siosetssptimeout when used with the a2d call?

Thanks

The SSP Timeout is only relevant for the Keypad. If you need some direct assistance, please send email to our support alias.

I note that the a2d programs contain the siosetssptimeout call even though they do not call for keyboard input.
