I recently installed the BitsyX linux 64MB DRAM bootloader (700115-450m) on a BitsyX device using the JTAG flash software in (720040-0031) and a Xlinx Parallel Cable IV. The process appeared to work successfully, however, the BitsyX won't boot an nothing at all is display to the console. Output from jflashmm is as follows...

JFLASH Version 5.01.003
COPYRIGHT (C) 2000-2003 Intel Corporation

*** ADS patch2.1 (Verify failure fix) ***
*** ADS patch3 (Devices > 2 fix) ***

PLATFORM SELECTION:
Processor= DBPXA255
Development System= ADS255-1
Data Version= 1.0

DBPXA255 revision A0
Found flash type: 28F128J3A (Asynchronous)

Starting programming
Using BUFFER programming mode...
Writing flash at hex address 10f00, 99.62% done
Starting Verify
Verifying flash at hex address 10cf8, 98.87% done
Verification successful

I can reflash the BitsyX over and over with the same success but still can't get it to boot. What am I missing?

If I recall correctly, you have a BitsyX with a special personality board. I think we have different boot code for that board from what is published on the forums.

Email us details about the BitsyX and personality board you are using, as we'll be glad to help.
