Without a bettery driver, this will fail. ADS does not provide a general battery driver because it's impossible to write one that would cover all available batteries. Some batteries are "smart" and have the ability to report charge state, current draw and other parameters. Others, like a simple NiCd cannot. For those about the best you can do is read an A/D value and scale it against the reference voltage. ADS does support that mechanism, but not through a battery driver.
