Download Microsoft ActiveSync
ActiveSync uses Windows CE Remote APIs (RAPIs) to allow you to connect a CE device to your desktop PC. ActiveSync is useful for synchronizing files and for remote debugging of applications.
Next, download the USB ActiveSync drivers and have them ready the first time you connect your ADS product to your development PC.

Important Note, ActiveSync 3.7
ActiveSync 3.7 does not work well with ADS systems. We recommend not using it, but staying with either version 3.5 or 3.6.
Addendum 4-oct-2004/ak
Not all customers have had trouble with ActiveSync 3.7. If you have trouble with it, you may consider dropping back to an older version.
The Microsoft CE team has rewritten ActiveSync from the ground up for upcoming releases of CE, and we expect that these chages will eliminate the performance differences between PCs and CE development systems that we and others have experienced. |
