Q: Is RS-485 terminated on your systems?

No. You must provide proper termination yourself at the ends of your RS-485 network.

Revisions D and later of the GC Plus include a jumper to add termination to the network. When you place a shunt across the header, it adds a 120 ohm terminator between the RS-485 RX+ and RX- pins.

On rev D GC Plus systems, the header is J20, a 0.100 inch Molex header. On rev F GC Plus systems, the terminator is J23, a two-pin 2mm header.
