Is it possible to automatically configure the display driver based on the display panel type that is connected to the system?

Ideally, it would be nice to be able to query the display panel itself and have it report the display type. If querying the panel is not available, then a jumper on the board. From there, software could configure the display driver appropriately.

Our product is now being configured with a second display type due to obsolescence and it would be nice to have a single distribution CF media rather than several based on the display type. The two panels we are using are the same resolution (640x480). The cables are different as appropriate.

The features you described are not currently supported. We have a couple of ideas on how they can be implemented, but that will require custom engineering work. If you're interested, send us an email and we can discuss the options with you.
