When the board com-1274 is mounted on the CPU board cpu-1233, com-1274 is not recognized in bios and thus there is no way to set the serial ports for communication mode of RS232, RS422, and RS485. The version of bios is PC/104 BIOS - Ver.4.60.07 - 2009. Could you explain why it happened like this?

To configure the COM-1274 you need the DOS program COM-1274 setup (download it from Eurotech website).

Thanks for your advice. However, in the user manual of com-1274, the board should be found in the bios. The description in the user manual is like that
In bios(Rev. 2.0.1), the following contents are displayed:

-------- Serial Ports & CAN Interface -----------
Serial Ports Global Status : Disabled
Serial Ports Base Address : 280h
Serial Ports IRQ : 5
Serial Ports IRQ Vector : 3E0h
Serial Ports 1 & 2 (J7-J8) Mode : RS232
Serial Ports 3 & 4 (J9-J10) Mode : RS232
Serial Ports 5 & 6 (J11-J14) Mode : Disabled
Serial Ports 7 & 8 (J13-J12) Mode : Disabled

CAN Interfaces Global Status : Disabled
CAN Interfaces Base Address : C8000h
CAN Interface 1 IRQ : 10
CAN Interface 2 IRQ : 11

Certainly, in this related item of bios, we can set the operating mode for serial communication.
I wonder why it did not display in my case?
I cannot find this item in bios.

Hi quiquan,

in the user manual (Chapter 4, page 19) you can find: "Setup / Configuration utility Rev. 2.0.1". The BIOS is another thing.
Regards,

Flavio
