Hi,

as it is getting incredibly harder to obtain Compact Flash card, we are looking to purchase USB to PCMCIA adapter. The idea would be to have the PCMCIA slot inserted to which we would connect USB memory stick or a memory card reader to them.

Do you have any idea if it has any chance to work; or if you already know a list of supported devices?

We are using GCX and WinCE 5.00.27.

Thanks,

beitman

For that to work, the vendor will need to supply drivers for the card, including USB Host, and for the USB devices that you may use, including memory sticks.

This is the first that I have heard of that kind of adapter.

If you find a supplier who has a Windows CE 5.0 driver for the card and USB Host, contact me or our support team directly. We can assist with the other drivers, but it will require a new OS release.

You may also want to look at our GCM board (http://www.eurotech-inc.com/info/datasheets/ds-gcm.pdf)
