Dear Forum Members:

Over the past week I have noticed my GMaster develpoment system does not fully boot(WinCE 3.0). On power-up or reset, the LCD screen displays a bright white screen, then moments later the unit powers down.

This occurs both with either a 'reset' or a cold re-boot (removing main AC power). Sometimes, I have to cycle power a dozen times before I get a sucessful boot.

I have been able to capture the boot sequence through the DEBUG COM3 port for both a sucessful boot and one in which I am presented with the "white-screen of death". I'll enclose it for your review. The only difference I can see is the last line...

* ADSLOAD.EXE(do-nothing build): Complete

Side Note: I noticed that the 5VDC supply from J7 Pin 35 & 40 to read 4.5 - 4.6VDC. This seems a little low. However, when the system does boot sucessfully the voltages does not change. It still measures low.

I'm open for any suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

Robert

Post script: We analyzed Robert's system and weren't able to find anything wrong with the Graphics Master. However, we did find that if we wiggled one of the wires coming from the mini DIN-8 power socket, power was interrupted enough to cause the system to reset. We replaced the power adapter cable.
