After downloading the 64MB image, I first erased the flash memory from 0x0 to 0x2000000.
I then changed the switches on the board to load the ADSLOAD.* and nkload.bin into the flash.
After resetting the switches for a normal boot, I get the following error message: Couldn't find the file : \Windows\pvbload.exe

Boot sequence:

PVBLOAD.EXE is the eMbedded Visual BASIC(eVB) loader. We didn't include it in this build of .NET. The error message comes from the Graphics Master loader, which needs pvbload.exe to launch eVB applications in the Startup folder(s).

This error message won't affect operation of your system, but if you would like to eliminate the error message, change your ADSLOAD.REG file as follows:
  [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Platform\LaunchApps]
"LaunchEXE"=dword:1
"LaunchVB"=dword:0
This tells the Graphics Master loader application that it doesn't need to launch eVB apps upon boot.

Cheers,

Drew

I've got almost the same problem than rousseau (i think).

After starting the system, "Empty ADSLOAD.EXE" appears on screen.
Afterwards "Maximum error 86477 exceeds calibration treshhold 32" is shown.
Last message was shown after toutching the toutchscreen.

* Is my operating system running coorrectly?
* Where is "Empty ADSLOAD.EXE" for?
Is it emptying this file, or is this file empty?
* Why is my screen blank?

Thanks in advance

I'll take a stab at this...

"Empty ADSLoad.EXE" is merely telling you that this program is not doing a thing (except for printing that line). ADSLoad.exe must exist on your device, and you have an ADSLoad.exe that outputs the line "Empty ADSLoad.exe". (We have customized our ADSLoad.exe to do some extra work for us when our device boots. Search the Forum for ADSLoad.exe and you will find the topic which contains the source for the basic program.)

You screen is blank because....???? You did not configure your device to display the desktop??? We use the following registry entry to show the desktop on our Bitsy devices. You will have to determine the correct key if you do not have a Bitsy.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Platform\Bitsy]
"LaunchCEShell"=dword:1 ; [1=show desktop], 0=suppress desktop

With respect to "is your operating system running correctly", wild guess is yes. The calibration messages do occur when calibration attempts are poor. Depending on the phase of the moon (yes, I'm am being facetious here), we have had to attempt calibration dozens of times, before it has finally cooperated. Has your calibration succeeded? Do you get the message about "touch the screen in the next 30 seconds for calibration values to take effect" (something like that)?

So, i loaded a new adsload.exe file from the site.
I configured my device to display the desktop.
The message "touch the screen in the next 30 seconds for calibration values to take effect" is not shown.
System is still not working and this is what happens.
