What steps do I need to do to create/configure an
emulator that can connect to our local DHCP server and
obtain an IP address? We need to remotely connect via
TCPIP to a COM/DCOM server executing on the emulator.

We're using PB 4.2.

Take a look at this Microsoft tutorial on generating an emulator image.

We know how to generate an image...export the SDK, load it and bring it up. What we need to know is how to configure it to connect to our network so other PCs can see it. Is this possible?

I'm not sure as we don't do much internally with the emulator. I suggest posting this question to the Microsoft public newsgroup:

news://microsoft.public.windowsce.platbuilder

You can use their anonymous NNTP news server msnews.microsoft.com if you need.
