Hi

I am trying to JTAG a ‘rev.A BitsyX’ board using the ‘720040-00031’ JTAG software.

I get an error informing me “Check ID Failed to read device ID for the XR3064”

The sequence of steps I followed is
1. Initialize GiveIO driver
2. Connect the pins, turn on power to the board
3. Started the Jtagc0.exe application
4. Entered adsload.rom when prompted for the name of the binary file.

Could you tell me where I am going wrong?

Also, If the process requires a software update, could you tell me as to when I can expect it.

Hi Madav. As we discussed, the problem you've experienced is likely due to a change in the internal revision code of a device in the JTAG chain, which the JTAG application doesn't recognize.

We've seen this problem and have moved to using the jflashmm application from Intel.

I regret it's taken a while to put together the package of configuration files you'll need for the BitsyX. We'll get them out to you shortly.
