We'd like to use the Windows CE GSM610 code on a BitsyX, perhaps via the Audio Compression Manager (ACM). We are currently using the 4.20.04 CE build; its ce.bib file indicates that at least some of the ACM/GSM/DirectSound capabilities are present (i.e., waveapi.dll, audevman.dll, gsm610.acm, msfilter.dll, msgsm610.dll, msacmce.dll, dsound.dll, dsounds.dll).

Our understanding is that we can access the codec in different ways, if all the hooks are present... load it manually, get at it via the wave API, ACM, and/or DirectSound. Can you shed any light on your typical CE build features and provide any recommendations for using the GSM610 codec before we start down a programming path?

I understand that we tested with the GSM codec at one point and used the standard wavein and waveout functions. That seemed to work well for the application we were using.
