It was recommended to us under separate email that we upgrade to at least build 4.20.19, since we have been pestered with flash corruptions. 4.20.19 has the following upgrade: Changes flash disk driver to Datalight Reliance 1.13 and FlashFX Pro 1.11.

Early this morning, we loaded 4.20.37 (core) onto our BitsyX rev C board (rom 1.14). We have a monochrome Optrex display. The display colors are now inverted.

I am able to download and install 4.20.37 pro and core, 4.20.34 pro and core. All images give me inverted colors.

Topic 1289 does not provide links to images 4.20.28, 4.20.25, 4.20.19 so I am unable to download and test. The build archives link at the end of the first post returns error HTTP 403, so I am unable to retrieve from the archives.

We have an Optrex display. ADS originally provided the registry settings to us for that display.

The image/rom that we are currently using (and which provides correct colors) is 4.20.17/1.14

Thanks for the feedback,
We are updating the links so you can download the intervening versions. See if 4.20.19 works for you.

Was able to download 4.20.19 pro and core, 4.20.25 pro and core. (4.20.28 does not have links.)

4.20.19 core does not complete the boot process. Here is the hyperterminal output:

I waited for 10 minutes, on the chance that something would happen.

4.20.19 pro did install but the colors are inverted. By inverted I mean that I'm getting white on black, instead of black on white.

I did not try 4.20.25, since 4.20.19, 4.20.34, and 4.20.37 all failed.

Would the registry and hardware table that we are using be helpful? I can post them here, but would rather forward under separate email since they are lengthy.

REG and HWT forwarded as attachments to support.us@eurotech.com

If your mail system removes these files as 'unsafe', I will place the files on our secure server for ADS to download. Please let me know via email if you need to retrieve them from our server.

Try this:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\Display\Intel]
"PaletteReverse"=dword:1 ;0 = Normal Mono, 1 = Reverse Mono(Inverted)
"m_paletteReverse"=dword:1 ;0 = Normal Mono, 1 = Reverse Mono(Inverted)

The display driver is incorrectly looking for "m_paletteReverse". This has been addressed for the next release of BitsyX.

Well, 'inverted' colors still exist. And now I have the added feature of (how do I describe this?) having my display divided into eight grids. The top four grids contain the top half of my opening screen. The bottom four grids contain the bottom half of my opening screen.

For example....if my usual screen looked like

TOP HALF: TT
BOTTOM HALF: BB

it now looks like
TT TT
TT TT
BB BB
BB BB

Of course, the data within the grids is smaller now that it is propogated more often.

4.20.37, 1.14

You have my registry and hardware table. The only difference between what you have and what I used is the addition of the "m_paletteReverse" line.

Update: We spoke with Susan and it looks like the PaletteReverse key is affecting more than just the palette. We're going to get the monochrome Optrex display they're using to resolve the issue.
