Note:

The FlashFX disk is not available in this build. While it does show up in Explorer, you cannot write to or read from the FlashFX Disk partition.

Chris, I notice that there is a beta SDK in another location. Should I continue to use that?

If you're doing .NET development (C#, VB.NET), the SDK isn't necessary - it's for eVC 4.0.

Have you tested if Visual Basic .NET works? I am trying to run the SmartDeviceApplication with the default Form1 window and it works just fine on the host, on the Windows CE emulation but does not run on the Graphics Master with .NET kernel. It connects, loads and install the cab file and copies over the .exe, but when it runs the .exe, it just returns without putting up the window. If you run the .exe by hand it does the same thing.

Am I missing something? It looks like it should work. Is there something else that needs to be installed?

Please get back to me as soon as possible. We need this to finish debugging our Demo.

Make sure that your device has enough storage space allocated to hold the framework and your app (Control Panel | System | Memory). I've found that if it's on the threshold, the framework will appear to install properly - meaning no errors are reported - but when I try to run the app, nothing happens.

Is there way to setup more memory for storage in the registry, so I do not have to bring up the control panel every time I boot?

Sure. Modify your ADSLOAD.REG file with the following key:

;-----------------------------------------------------
; Set Storage memory and Program memory
; Page size is 4096 bytes. Default Value is 256 pages for Object Store.
; If you set 256 pages(dword:100), the storage memory(object store) is
; 256 * 4096 = 1MB. The rest of available memory becomes program memory.
;
; dword:40 leaves 256k for storage
;-----------------------------------------------------
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\MemoryConfig]
"ObjectStorePages"=dword:200

I tested the GM.net with a PS2 mouse (microsoft intellimouse), USB mouse, PS2 Keyboard (dell standard 104) and USB compound device (keyboard / hub - Microsoft Internet Keyboard). I could get only the PS2 keyboard to work. Can you verify this?
Thanks

I managed to get the USB mouse and PS2 mouse working (with HWT change). However USB / Compound keyboards still do not work.
Any ideas?
Thanks

You'll see white LCD Screen during the Sleep.
When you short J1 Jumper right next IrDA Port, System will wake up.

We're testing several different USB keyboards now.
We found some bugs(???) on USB HID Driver from MS.
You can try your USB keyboard with next image.
Thanks

On CE.NET 4.1, you can read/write FlashFX Disk.

The 4.1 image John alludes to can be downloaded from our image selector page. There is also a new SDK for this image. The image downloads are found here.

I left the GM over lunch idling. When I came back it had locked up. When I reset it gets stuck at the same point with a white screen. Debug output is as follows:
