I just received a several BitsyX and companion boards. Connecting a "16bit" display cable from a GM and an LQ64D343 flat pannel, I am getting strange colors with both the 8bit and 16bit register.txt files (for the BitsyX). I.E. my Penguin has green feet! Does the BitsyX require a different "16bit" cable? Could you please post a schematic for this cable in the Forum?

Thanks

Hi,

BitsyX needs "16bit" display cable either you set "8bit" or "16bit" display in register.txt. if you have "16bit" display cable, can you give me the ADS part number? I want to make sure that you have correct cable. BitsyX doesn't require a different "16bit" cable.

We sent sreynard a cable drawing directly and have posted additional cable drawings at topic 1202.

The good news is that the distinction between 8 and 16 bit cables goes away with the XScale processor (topic 990). Color confusion should fade away as our customers phase ADS XScale designs into their products.
