What voltage levels need be supplied to the AGX, through the board power-header, when no display (i.e. backlight) is required? The User's Manual shows the PCMCIA needing nothing higher than 5v, but the Mini-DIN-8 Power Adaptor cable assembly doc lists 12v as being needed for backlight, and PCMCIA.

You are correct that you don't need anything higher than 5V. You can use the minimal power connections of pins 1 and 2 (5V and ground) to power the AGX.

If you have low-power-sleep requirements, you'll need to connect Vperm to supply sleep power and will probably need to use the PowerOn output to signal when to turn off the external 5V supply.

You won't need the 12V power input for backlight if your system is headless; and the 3.3V is only for systems that are custom-built with no on-board 3.3V supply.
