We have many such applications. Our normal design is done to extended temperature specs; for nominal cost we can provide formal 3rd part certification.
Here is a typical test report:
CALCE_ThermalRel-GraphicsMaster
Most of the OEMs who use our systems do go for UL approval; there has never been a problem.

Sorry, my question may not be clear enough. I mean can ADS system, such as AGX support a industrial approved PCMCIA card for 802.11 wireless connection? As far as I know, current AGX only support one type card (Cisco Aeronet), and I'm not sure that card can be used in such environment. I could be wrong, though.
Thanks, William |

Thanks for the clarification, William. Symbol and Cisco are the only two companies we know of that have CE .NET drivers for their 802.11 cards.
I don't know if they have cards in their product line that are rated for the Industrial temperature range. If you know of any others that are, we'd be glad to look at them. The main limitation at this time appears to be manufacturer support for CE .NET. |
