Q: I enabled the inactivity timer in ADSLOAD.REG so that my system will sleep after a certain amount of time, but it never goes to sleep. What's going on?
In addition to user activity (touch panel, mouse, keyboard, etc), the inactivity timer also gets reset by activity from modems and the Ethernet driver. If you want your system to sleep, you'll have to make sure the Ethernet driver is disabled with the following entry in ADSLOAD.REG:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\SMC90001\Parms]
"DoNotInstall"=dword:1
