There is several references on this forum for using the I2C driver, but I need information on configuring the bitsyx to use the SMB. the programmer reference manual and hardware refence manual is pretty light on this topic.

We've discussed this question directly with mcovert, and the short answer is that we don't officially support SMBus. The longer answer is that SMBus is very similar to I2C (as described in the BitsyX manual) and may communicate with SMBus just fine.

We'll work with mcovert's group on their application, and will be glad to report our findings. If others are interested in using SMBus in the meantime, feel free to contact us.
