I have a project that requires VGA output using the BitsyX module.
I would like to use a DAC chip.
Do you have a recommendation on which DAC I should use ?

I was looking at the ADV7175 (330Mhz Triple 8 bit) is this an overkill
for just a standard VGA ?

Thanks

Thanks for your note. We haven't done this kind of signal conversion with our products, so we can't really comment on design solutions.

ADS products that feature the SM501 display controller (e.g. VGX, Portal, Video ClientX and others) include analog VGA output as part of the SM501 feature set.

If you'd like some help evaluating solutions that will meet your needs, ADS provides engineering design services that could help. Contact us for if you'd like to discuss this option further.

I also did not do this type of conversion, but I going to try.
One last question, I have most of the signals I need from the LCD driver except for "BLANK".
Which signal on the LCD signals represent "BLANK"

Thanks
