Hello everybody,
I want to use a wireless LAN with the BitsyX in my project. I tried to test the Symbol Spectrum24 CF card (LA-4137) and the Linksys WCF54G with BitsyX (CE 4.1 , CE 4.2 et CE 5.0) but it doesn't work ! In each case, I see my network on the ZeroConfig interface, Status : Connected , but I can't get the IP address from DHCP server...I can't ping to/from BitsyX neither.
Does the BitsyX support the LA-4137 or WCF54G ? Does someone who tried to use wireless card with BitsyX ?
Thank you for your help.

The BitsyX (CE 4.20.32) supports fine the Symbol Spectrum24 wireless card (LA-4137) but it doesn't the Linksys WCF54G yet. |

The WCF54G card worked well for us in our tests, but I don't think we've set it up with WEP keys, as you noted you were trying to use when you wrote us directly.
We'll see if we can figure out what's going on with your configuration. |

I retested the WCF54G card with the WEP disabled option setting on the host : it works. But when we talk about wireless network, we think about security...So, I think a WEP key is necessary to make safe the network.
With the Spectrum24 LA-4137, we can select option using the WEP key or not. |

We have successfully used the Cisco Aironet 350 PCMCIA cards with WEP enabled (Cisco driver version 2.7). |

I'd like to update this topic that the BitsyX, with CE 4.20.32 build, supports fine the Symbol LA-4137 and Linksys WCF54G card. |
