Hi, I am trying to learn about this "Quick Capture" port available on the BitsyXb, in particular, is there an api in Windows CE or is there a specific driver that I need to write code to talk to? I basically only want to connect a NTSC source and capture 1 frame.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks! Rich

Thanks, Rich. I don't believe that the signals for the PXA270's Quick Capture ports are available on the BitsyXb. They are used for other system functions (e.g. SSP, digital I/O, interrupts, etc).
If your application requires Quick Capture functionality, email us with details and we'll be glad to work with you. |

Thank you for your reply! I was just reading the product sheet for the BitsyXb, and under "Communications" it has listed, amoung things like USB, serial, etc:
- Intel QuickCapture™ camera sensor input bus
Basically, what I need to do is interface a small camera to the system. How can I go about doing this? Thanks for your help. Rich

Sure, I see what you mean. That's a mistake in the marketing literature that we'll correct. We don't list Quick Capture as a feature in the user manual.
I'm not sure what kind of camera you're using, but one option is to use the CompactFlash bus, which is an extension of the system bus. You can read more about using the CF bus for external applications at topic 846. |
