Is this (http://www.applieddata.net/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2515) the final word on using newer versions of Visual Studio?

I'm currently using Visual Studio 2005 to develop for WinCE 5.0 on the BitsyXB, but we're looking to transition our whole team to Visual Studio 2010. I've tried the 2010 Beta 2 but haven't been able to get it to acknowledge the ADS CE 5.0 SDK, in any installation order.

Are there plans to support 2010, or is that up to Microsoft?

Visual Studio 2010 will not have device support out of the box, no. Microsoft does plan to support Smart Devices with Studio 2010, but that support will come as an out-of-band release. They've not given a timeline for that release, but my guess is it will probably coincide with the release of the next version of WinMo.
