The TITAN board needs to have Version 1 Issue 5 Redboot bootloader.

This version of Redboot fully supports the PF32 flash which is fitted to some of these boards.

Redboot v1i5 is also compatible with any previous version of Flash,
so there is no reason to not have that version of Redboot installed.

As a note, if an earlier version of Redboot is installed,
various errors will appear at boot time, generally related to the mount or load command during the boot sequence.
Also, JFFS2 errors may appear.

Here are some examples of the errors seen when v1i2 Redboot
was loaded on a TITAN board used by one customer:

during the boot into linux:
