Right now ADS systems support analog resistive touch screens. Capacitive screens with serial interfaces have also been used.

For further reading about touch panels on ADS products, see the touch panel topic index.

We are looking at using a capacitive touch screen from Touch International. The drivers can be downloaded from their website. Are they already included in the BitsyX build? Does ADS still have to create a build with the driver?

Thanks...

Touch panel drivers are not already included in the BitsyX build. Sometimes a developer would like to use a different touch screen than the one provided with the development system. If the manufacturer supplies instructions for installing the driver on a Windows CE device, that would be your best path. However, if the driver needs to be integrated into your configuration, we do panel integration here at ADS. Contact us if you want to arrange a custom configuration for that panel.
