Q: I get the error message, "The targeted platform does not match the connected platform? Continue y/n?" every time I try to download my application with the remote tools.

Add the following entry to your ADSLOAD.REG file:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Windows CE Tools]
"Platform"="{0F9D255B-97DA-4641-A8E6-7A7411D2472F}" ; HPC 2000
;"Platform"="{615BE235-F665-4975-8DFE-244A6160BD48}" ; ADSMAXALL300

These are the HPC2000 keys. For other devices see Topic 792

My ADSLOAD.REG file has this entry and I still get the message. Any other reasons why this would happen?

The error is displayed when eMbedded tools determines that the Platform your project is targeting and the Platform of the connected device do not match.

If your device is has the following registry key (set by the above line in ADSLOAD.REG then it is correctly defines as an HPC 2000:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Windows CE Tools\Platform
{0F9D255B-97DA-4641-A8E6-7A7411D2472F}

Make sure that you are using the HPC 2000 SDK (not the HPC Pro SDK) and that you have correctly selected the HPC 2000 device as your build target.
