Q: Can I restart CE on my device without losing the contents of RAM?

Beginning with CE 2.12 build 2.02, you can run \windows\restart.exe. This application closes all active processes and restarts the processor and Windows CE. Note that it also resets the processor's real-time clock. Your application can work around this by saving the system time in RAM before restarting, then restoring the time with some constant added to the value.
