I downloaded the MaxDX image and would like to
install it. The readme in the zip file says that
the adsload files need to be MODIFIED. I assume
that this means they exist somewere in a base form.

Where are they?

To get the REG and HWT files, take a look at the image download topic specific to your system:
Graphics Client Plus
Bitsy
Graphics Master

For information on modifying the files, see our new Developer's Getting Started Guide

Ok, first off the MaxDX was for the Graphics Client Plus
not for a Graphics Master.... So I won't be using that.

I downloaded version 3.19 13Meg.

../developers/wince/CEBuilds.asp?platform=Graphics+Master&all=0

However within the zip file it still mentions 10Meg images
and not 13Meg... Should I be concerned about this?
Is this correct documentation?

You mean in the Readme? Wouldn't surprise me if that was incorrect, as they are copy and pasted.

The thing to know is that the ADSLOAD.REG and ADSLOAD.HWT files must both be modified to match your image size, as described in the Getting Started Guide. It's essentially 4 lines in each (2 for the old config, 2 for the new) and typically you need only to add and remove comment semicolons.

Well which is correct the web page or the files in the zip
file?

The zip file contains a nkload.bin file that is about 10Meg
however the web site says its a 13Meg image.

If nkload.bin is 10MB, then that's correct. I'll fix the web page.

Ok I see the web pages changed...
So I actually want 3.18 12Meg
Not 3.19 10Meg
And I don't need 3.33 which actually downloads 3.34.

thanks.

The readme for 3.18 wants reg file changes
My boot log shows 32MM StrataFlash.

Should then "Length"=dword:1300000 be uncommented?

Does this still apply for WinCE 5.0? I've got a Sphere II dev kit just bought this year and the adsload.hwt & adsload.reg don't have the entries specified in http://support.eurotech-inc.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=609 Section 3.3 for specifying image size.

This does not apply to Sphere II. The standard configuration does not need these entries. If a special configuration ever needs these entries, we will add them.
