Q: I'm trying to play from an internet radio station, but there are gaps in the music at regular intervals. The status bar reports that it is "buffering", but Ethernet data transfer doesn't seem run any faster during that period.

This discrepancy occurs because the playback rate is not exactly the same as the rate at which the data is being supplied. The data buffer ends up getting depleted over time. Playback frequencies were better matched in products shipped in Q3 2001.
