Hi,
I have a ADS Bitsy development System + Bitsy personality board Ethernet option) with ADS windows CE 3.20 installed.
Now I want to upgrade to ADS Windows CE 4.11 .
I download the file "700111-1120B_Bitsy_32MB_CE.NET_v412_IE_15MB.zip"
(CE.bib, reginit.ini, nkload.bin (=15MB))and try to overload the onboard Flash Ram, but it fails to upload the system with error message:
Programming flash (this will also take a few minutes).
File Size = 15282992(0xe93330) bytes .
I need more space !. Error1 !!
return FALSE from LdrMoveRamToFlash()
Failed to load NKLOAD.BIN from an ATA Flash Card.
Reading Flash Header Size...(0x1513 bytes)
Reading Flash ...(from 0x40004 to 0x41517)
I look into the ADSload.hwt file then I saw the setup
"Location in RAM to load CE image" only until 12MB CE, 64MB RAM.
I added one more entry for 16MB CE, but it doesn't help.
Do I need the other HWT and REG files ?
which CE.NET upgrade steps do I need to follow ?
and what files do I need to download ?

Nghia,
It sounds like you have something wrong in your ADSLOAD.REG or ADSLOAD.HWT files. You can download a set of known-good configuration files for the standard ADS Development systems (32MB Flash, 32MB DRAM) from the CE Build Selector Page. The link for the configuration zip file is in the very top line above the image download link. |

I download the 700111-1747A_Bitsy32_LQ64D343_CE.NET_15MB.zip file (ADSload.hwt and ADSload.reg) and try again, this time look good but after upload the nkload.bin (4.12), the system is automatically reset(?) and stop by the Ethernet controller initialization.
What do I do wrong ?
This is a message that I capture from debug port:

I'm a bit confused. The image you are loading is for the Bitsy, but the debug output is from a BitsyPlus boot loader. Which device are you using? |

Chris,
I use a ADS development System with Bitsy Plus and Bitsy Personality Board Rev.2 , that means that we can not upgrade OS from CE3.0 to CE.NET . We would like to upgrate to CE.NET because we use "winsock2" and "exception" in our Application software.
Are there some possibility to run CE.net on development plattform, so that we can test our application software ?

Nghia,
You can upgrade the BitsyPlus to CE.NET in the same manner but you must use an image specifically built for the BitsyPlus, not the Bitsy. You can download the image from the CE Build Selector Page as well, you just need to be certain you select a BitsyPlus as the Platform. |

I have another problem with the SDK.
After upgrade to ADS CE.net 4.12 I install eVC++ 4.0 Microfoft Statndard SDK, and ADS IAGM-SDK.
First I create the W32 application, it came up with StandardSDK platform as default, when I change platform to IAGM then the eVC++ 4.0 is hung (This program is not not responding). I have to terminate the task in task-list.
Do I download the IAGM-SDK right ?

I found the answer, we have to install the service pack 1 of eVC++ 4.0 then the problem go away.
