Q: How do I create a bitmap that looks the same on my 4 bpp LCD display as on my PC?

One of our Windows CE customers tells us that they were able to accomplish this by customizing the PC bitmap palette:
  1. They created a 16-entry color palette in their drawing application.

  2. They set the RGB value of each entry (n) to (R=n*17, G=n*17, B=n*17) where n=0 to 15.

  3. They then selected from the colors in that palette to create their bitmaps.
