Q: Are there other ways to optimize display performance?
Yes. While there are several ways to optimize your panel drivers, one of the simplest is to reduce the load on the system bus by reducing the panel refresh rate. You will want to select the slowest refresh rate that does not give perceptible flicker on the display. LCCR3 is a frequency divider, so larger numbers result in a lower panel refresh rate. Here's an example:

to:0xB0100028 0x00300004 ; LCCR3
