Regarding the folder option 'Hide file extensions', I do not care to have file extensions for known file types to be hidden. The BitsyX has this option set to 'hide' by default. I am unable to determine the corresponding BitsyX registry entry so that I can view the file extension along with the file name (a registry search on the text 'hid', 'option' and 'exte' did not locate anything applicable). Yes, I know I can change the value using 'View', then 'Options', from any given folder, but the change is not persistent. I need to add an entry to my ADSLoad.reg.
Please post this information.
In addition, every time REGEDIT.exe is executed, the following Data Abort occurs: Data Abort: Thread=83ca0000 Proc=8114f394 'filesys.exe' AKY=00000083 PC=00026640 RA=00026628 BVA=ffffffff FSR=000000f3
When trying this I don't get the expected result. Now that I had a keyword I did a search on it and it seems that this has changed between CE 4.1 and CE 4.2 which we are using.
All I did to find the key was use regedit, and look at the HKLM\Explorer section, then changed the view to see what was different. You might try that. If that fails, you can export the registry using the remote reg editor, make the change, export again, and then diff the two files.
Looks like they have moved the setting to be outside of the registry. Did a diff and they were identical. We can live without this though. Would just have made our life easier during development.
