In Cisco's document:
"Cisco Aironet 350 Series Wireless LAN Client Adapters Installation and Configuration Guide for Windows CE" (Software release v2.50),
on page 2-4 (chapter 2, page 4 ) it specifies system requirements, it specifies CE devices types: HPC2000, PPC2000, PPC2002,PPC2003, CE.net device.
Our Bitsyboard uses CE 3.0, what device type does it belong to?
HPC2000 or PPC200x? What are the distinguishing numbers or prints on the board that tells you what type of board it is? If Bitsyboard uses CE.net 4.1x, does it then support EAP-TLS, PEAP authentication protocols?
Thanks.
Please have a look this Cisco ducument, it's quite confusing to me.
Thanks. Charlie

Hi Charlie:

Windows CE 3.0 devices are HPC2000 devices.

As we discussed in topic 1607, CE 3.0 does not support PEAP or EAP-TLP. However, CE 4.2 does.

You can read more about CE PEAP support in this MSDN article. You might also take a look at some of the other articles in Microsoft's archives.

Thanks for your reply. Since we have heaps of Bitsyboards, & our customer need to use EAP-TLS & PEAP, then we have to upgrade CE 3.0 to CE.net 4.2 on the current Bitsyboards, it's not feasible to change hardware. EAP-TLS & PEAP support is a key & major part of our project. Can you tell us:
1) if you can build CE.net 4.2 for Bitsyboard?
2) when will CE.net 4.2 be available for Bitsyboard & costs associated with the upgrade.
Please reply as soon as you can, thanks a lot.
Charlie
