Q: I want to create my own settings for the ActiveSync connection.
Q: My build of CE doesn't have any Remote Networking connections.
Q: I'm using CE 2.12 and the repllog.exe is telling me that it doesn't recognize COM1. What do I do?

Older builds of CE may not have the Remote Networking connections you need. Use these instructions for creating your own connection:

1. On your device, run Start Menu, Programs, Communication, Remote Networking (\Windows\Remnet.exe). Create a connection using the following settings: Direct Connection, Modem on COM1: (or just COM1:), 19200 or 57600 N81; hardware handshaking.

2. In Communication Properties of the Control Panel, set the PC Connection to be the one you created in Step 1.
