Starting with release 2.4.19_rmk7_pxa2_adsx4 the touch screen for the Xscale systems has a new driver. This driver is compatible with the Ipaq touchscreen driver, but not compatible with previous ADS touchscreen drivers.

The new driver also handles touchscreen noise better than the previous driver.

Since many windowing systems, such as Microwindows/NanoX, Qt, and Xwindows, have Ipaq distributions, a compatible driver allows for much simpler building and installation of windowing software for our systems.

Over the next few weeks we will be posting patches and scripts to aid in the installation of several different windowing systems for our Xscale systems.
