I am considering upgrading my GC+ to .net form 3.0. I see all sorts of potential advantages. Are there any disadvantages.

Are there any pitfalls caused by upgrading the ce image vs. starting with a ce image installed by the factory???

CE 4.x is quite stable and is available for all of our devices. There are no disadvantages to using it.

Upgrading your device from 3.0 to 4.x is no different than changing builds within the 3.0 version, and is relatively straightforward on ADS hardware. The process is outlined in the Developer's Getting Started Guide
