I have a GC+ board which can boot linux, can i boot winCE using the same board without upgrading the bootrom?
THe version of the bootrom is 19011084010 BOOT 1.76

Hi. At one time we supported booting multiple operating systems with one boot ROM, but have since developed our Linux and CE boot code on different tracks. You can try the instructions at this forum topic, but I believe they will only work with older builds of Linux and CE. We no longer support the "multi-boot" features of our boot ROMs.
If you're interested in using our current releases of CE on the GC Plus, please email ADS Sales with details about your application and request the latest CE boot ROM for the GC Plus.

Downloaded the winCE 3.0 Image and adsload.reg adsload.hwt, tried but failed. no matter what combination of the DIP switch, I got DEBUG MENU on the debug port output.
I couldn't figure out what's the memory size on my ADS GC+ board, I assume the flash is 32MB since there is an lable wich says "linux 2.4.1 32M demo", but as to memory , no hint at all. |
