The hourglass icon appears in the middle of the display when our application menu buttons are pressed for an extended period of time. (The hourglass is undesired). The buttons are used to scroll a numeric field up or down.

The hourglass appears when the button is pressed with the touch panel, but not when the button is pressed with the mouse cursor.

I don't think the hourglass appeared when we were running CE 4.1. We are now using CE 4.2 (Bitsy-X, OS release 4.20.05).

We don't normally use the mouse. As such, I disabled the mouse cursor with the registry setting (below) to see if this would prevent the hourglass from appearing.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\Display\Intel]
"EnableMouseCursor"=dword:0

This made the mouse cursor disappear, but the hourglass still appears when the touch panel is pressed.

Any suggestions?

More detail about the hourglass and mouse cursors in CE 4.2 and 5.0 is posted at topic 1844.
