Q: Can I speed up the ActiveSync connection?

Yes. ActiveSync connects be default at 19,200 bps but can connect reliably at speeds up to 57,600 bps. If your build of CE doesn't include a 57.6k connection, you can create a new Remote Networking connection as described above. If you need greater speed, consider creating a connection over Ethernet.
