Q: Why does the hourglass appear in some builds and not in others?

The hourglass appears when the mouse pointer has been enabled. If the mouse pointer hasn't been explicitly enabled or disabled in the ADSLOAD.HWT file, the OS uses a default setting that can vary over time. Make sure to include the mouse pointer entry in your ADSLOAD.HWT file.
