Q: We would like to interface to a different flat panel display. Do we need a different CE image for each panel?

Eurotech uses a system that allows you to change Windows CE display drivers quickly and easily. You don't need to change the CE image.

  • Display is on Eurotech supported displays list
If the display is one that Eurotech has configured for your device, we can supply you with a cable drawing for that panel. We can also build you a cable. Creating a cable to connect to the display is usually what takes the longest to get a display working. Contact sales if you need a cable to connect a particular display.

  • New Displays
You can also send panels that aren't yet on the list to Eurotech for first-time configuration. Non-recurring configuration charges may apply. Again, contact Sales for further information.

  • Changing Displays in CE
If you already have a Windows CE development system you may want to use a different display or change from 8 to 16 bpp color. Eurotech products support a wide array of displays, but make sure you read the notes about performance tradeoffs for higher resolution displays.

For further reading about displays on Eurotech products, see the display topic index.
