Hello,
I have the following ADSLOAD.REG file at the root level of my CompactFlash card: ;
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH]
"CalibrationData"="2034,2019 976,972 931,3140 3126,3111 3118,961"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\MemoryConfig] "ObjectStorePages"=dword:400
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Explorer] "ViewAll"=dword:1 ; 1=show hidden files "ShowExt"=dword:1 ; 1=show all file extensions "UseRecycleBin"=dword:0 ; 1=send files to Recycle Bin
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Explorer\RunHistory] @="" "0"="\Storage Card\WorkPort\TimeClock.exe" "1"="\Windows\repllog.exe /remote" "2"="\Storage Card\WorkPort\loadcabsV4.exe" "3"="\Windows\SDAuthUtilDevice.exe"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\OnTop] "Default"=dword:0 ; [1=keep taskbar on top] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\AutoHide] "Default"=dword:1 ; 1=minimize taskbar to a line when not in use
I see the following from the Debug monitor: Saved Registry will be restored. Sp=ffffc7cc CADSFileOnBoardFlash::SetFilePointer failed 80000 CADSFileOnBoardFlash : read m_length failed REG_Init::ParseF.ParseFile() failed Could not open FLASH Driver. Could not open FLASH Driver. LoadREGFile: Could not open FLASH Driver. Could not open FLASH Driver. Could not open FLASH Driver. Could not open FLASH Driver. LoadREGFile: Could not open FLASH Driver. Could not open FLASH Driver.
My .REG file is not loaded. Is this an error?
thanks, Tom Dorgan. |

Hi Tom. It looks like there's a problem with the flash driver (I know that seems kinda obvious). When it boots, are you able to see the FlashFX Disk\ folder?
I'm not clear from the debug messages if the persistent registry was successfully restored by this build, either, though if neither adsload.reg nor the persistent registry loads, usually the display timings aren't correct.
If you're still having trouble, let us know what build (and product) you're using, and email us the full debug output from start through reprogramming adsload.reg to CE completing its boot. |
