When trying to connect to my Development System from the eVB IDE I get an error that says
'The Platform Manager could not connect to the device. This happens if the project type does not match the connected device, or if a required file in Windows CE Services, or the Platform SDK is missing or corrupt. (Error Code 0xLX).'
What does this mean and how do I get past it?

This error occurs if you selected the wrong Project Type when you started your eVB project. The New Project dialog will list a project for each SDK you have installed plus a "Windows CE Formless" project.

If you are using an ADS development system with CE 3.0 on it, you must use the "Windows CE HPC 2000 Project" template (installed with the HPC 2000 SDK).

If you are using a development system with CE 2.11 or 2.12, you must use the "Windows CE HPC Pro Project" template (installed with the HPC Pro SDK).
