So, the "Reliance Driver" has appeared in the latest VGX release. Can we get some info on what it is, and how it impacts us?

Costs:
-Performance deltas: speed, size (is the available size changed? Does it vary during use?)

-Application changes required, if any

Benefits:
-FlashFx Only, or any CF card?

-Scenarios that are more robust

Thanks!

Reliance is described on Datalight's Reliance product page.

It only has applicability to the "\FlashFX Disk" folder.

As for scenarios, it's a journaling file system, also known as a transactional file system. The web probably has plenty of information on how they work, but the general idea is that they protect against data loss if you have a power loss or reset during a write operation.
