I am using the VGX Windows CE Ver.(4.20.40 VGX_PRO_HIVE) version of CE. I have a compact flash slot with a 256 MB card and a PCMCIA slot with a compact flash adapter and a CF Linksys wireless device connected (seen as adapter WLAGS46F1 by CE).
Without the CF memory card inserted, CE boots up and the wireless adapter works fine. Inserting the memory card after boot up causes both to work fine. But if the media card is inserted at bootup, the wireless device is not seen by the OS. The lights on the wireless card itself are illuminated, so it should be working.
Does this have to do with what order the drivers are loaded? Perhaps by removing the CF media card we're causing the linksys driver to load first.
Thanks for the details. We'll test this in our builds to see what's going on. It does sound like there's an issue with the load order of the PCMCIA drivers.
