How do I run Macromedia Flash?

ADS has a partnership with NEC who sells the Macromedia Flash player software that runs on ARM Linux (and other operating systems).

Contact your ADS sales rep or ADS Sales to coordinate with NEC a demo of this flash player.

To try this demo software:

First boot your ADS board running X windows (using either JFFS2 linux root file system, typically installed in the on-board flash of our develpment systems or full Debian root file system, which you can install on a USB hard drive, Microdrive, or NFS mounted root partition).

Login to the board over the serial debug port (see getting started if you don't know how to do these first 2 steps).

Insert and mount the CF card which contains the demo software with this command:

   mount /mnt/hda

Finally run the demo with the sample flash file:

   export DISPLAY=:0
/mnt/hda/flashx11 -geometry 340x110 /mnt/hda/nec_ss_340x110_01.sfw
