The backlight is not turning off when the system is idle for more than xx minutes.

However de power off function does work after xx minutes...

Used system : Bitsy evaluation board.

The CE function to turn off the backlight after a certain amount of time isn't currently implemented in ADS Windows CE builds.

Please contact ADS Sales if this feature is important to your application.

Can we control the intensity of the backlight or turn it ON/OFF by code ? if yes, howto do this with VC++ ?

Yes. Backlight intesity and whether or not it is on or off are available through code.

The functions exposed by the ADSmartIO library for the Bitsy and Graphics Client Plus with the following functions:

SIOBackLightON()
SIOBackLightOFF()
SIOBackLightPwm()

For the Graphics Master use the DeviceIOControl API with the following constants:

IOCTL_SET_BACKLIGHT_ON
IOCTL_SET_BACKLIGHT_OFF
IOCTL_SET_BACKLIGHT_LEVEL
